- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- For the Frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2–3 tbsp milk (as needed)
- Toppings (Optional):
- Mini chocolate chips
- Sprinkles
- Crushed nuts
- Fresh fruit (e.g., strawberries, bananas)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make the Cookie Dough: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Form the Crust: Spread the cookie dough evenly onto a large pizza pan or baking sheet, forming a round crust about 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- Prepare the Frosting: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to achieve a smooth, spreadable consistency.
- Frost the Pizza: Once the cookie crust is completely cool, spread the frosting evenly over the top.
- Add Toppings: Decorate your dessert pizza with mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, crushed nuts, or fresh fruit as desired.
- Slice and Serve: Cut into wedges and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious Chocolate Chip Dessert Pizza!
