- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
- Knead the Dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let it Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Shape and Prepare for Crockpot: After rising, punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Grease the inside of your crockpot with cooking spray or olive oil. Place the dough in the crockpot.
- Cook: Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on high for about 2-3 hours, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
