Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cardamom.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the saffron-infused milk and vanilla extract.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the saffron milk. Mix until just combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
