- 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (optional)
- Whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Mix Cream Cheese: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Layer Ingredients: Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the pie filling, spreading it gently but not completely mixing it.
- Add Cake Mix: Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the top of the cream cheese layer. Do not stir; just let it sit on top.
- Pour Butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is set.
